Alamo Nevada

Now here's a place that I have been to many times. Mostly just getting gas along the way to Eagle Valley. But one time in 1973 I was too be there as the best man in my friends Richard and Jane's wedding. At the time I had a 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner, girl friend and one hour to drive the 90 miles from Las Vegas . I guess you could say I was running a little late. We didn't have cell phones back then so Richard was a little concerned not knowing where I was. But I was driving a Roadrunner so I made it with time to spare. Richard and Jane were hitched and have been ever since.
By the way back then the speed limit was (Open and Reasonable) on the road to Alamo. 100mph was considered OK. I got 7 mpg. in that 383 hemi and loved every minute of it.

I guess we're getting older than we think. I'm pretty sure that couldn't have been a '75 Roadrunner, because I married the lovely Jane in '73! [grin] You know, I think I was too busy honeymooning to ever ride in that Roadrunner! Hmmm, honeymoon or ride in the roadrunner. Yeah, I think I picked right!
