Man, this has been a suck ass week with a silver lining. Monday the Blazer blew a heater hose on the way home from work. I found a shop two blocks away from where I broke down and the good guys there gave me enough hose to repair the leak. The only tool in the truck was a screwdriver and it was also the only tool I needed. Then on the way home the water fried the electrical system. I managed to pull into the driveway but that was all she wrote for the truck. Luckily the Sportster was ready for the task of daily driver. Then I broke the kickstand on the damn thing. Thursday on my drive home, I got soaked with the first rain in months. On Friday I had the Blazer towed to a repair shop for which I had to pay the savings I had realised from my final payment on the beast, just two days earlier.
So now I don't have to make anymore payments on the truck but she doesn't work. The bike is on the road and running strong but has to be propped against something and looks like a lame duck. Oh ya I had new tires put on the Blazer two days before this all happened and with some concern I might add because whenever I have bought new tires for a vehicle, it has died or broke real bad. The RX7 , a Taurus, and Blaze that's three in a row. Now, if I need to get gas or shop, I'm counting on a bicycle or a Harley with no kickstand....... Which by the way has new tires that I bought just before the rebuild.
