"I have been very open about what I called a boneheaded move,"

Do you know who recently said this in an apparent attempt to distance themselves from a maybe "bad" person that was a longtime friend ? And would you want someone who thinks like that to be the most powerful person in the Free World? Your Next President.
By the way just what is a "Boneheaded Move"? It sounds like one of those phrases that some people can say and some people can't.
To me Boneheaded means stupid. I don't want a stupid President.
